We don’t need to tell you that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. In this series, we’re asking some of Boston’s top doctors, fitness pros, and dietitians for a sneak peek into their kitchens, so we can see what’s on their breakfast table.

Erica Bornstein
Claim to fame: Bornstein is a choreographer and a popular yoga instructor who teaches at Yoga Works, Equinox, and Exhale.
What she ate: Two scrambled eggs with salsa and half an avocado, and a banana to go.
Why she chose it: “Being a yoga teacher with a funky schedule, every day is different, so my breakfast is different as well,” Bornstein says. “On Fridays [when this was taken], I have a late start with a jam-packed afternoon and evening, so I like to take the morning to start slow and cook myself a hot breakfast while I have my coffee and do a little class prep for the day. It is one of the only days of the week where I actually sit and eat, rather than eating a quick banana on my commute to class or a client. A high protein breakfast usually holds me over for a while, so I try to eat eggs before a really busy day.”
